By airplane:
The easiest way to visit Calabria is by airplane. The nearest airport is Lamezia Terme.
From the airport of Lamezia Terme you can reach Tropea by train, taxi or with a rental car.
By train:
From the airport of Lamezia Terme, a shuttel bus runs periodically to the central station of Lamezia Terme. In the high season, trains to Tropea depart nearly every hour for a very low price. From the Tropea train station, you can walk to our Accommodation (1km). If you need a taxi, we recommend booking one in advance.
By Taxi:
By request, we can organize a transfer from the Airport to Le Terrazze for you. This service costs 80€, and should be booked in advance.
By car:
Coming from the north, you take the motorway A3 towards Reggio Calabria. Follow the motorway until you reach the exit for Pizzo Calabro. Follow the SS522. You will pass Pizzo, Vibo Marina, Briatico, Zambrone and Parghelia before you reach Tropea.
Please Note: Our accommodation is in the middle of the old town center, where car access is not permitted. Only local residents are allowed to drive in and to park! Cameras monitor all the entrances and exits of the city center.
You can find public parkings spaces on Viale Stazione, Via Accademia degli Affaticati, in front of Hotel Tropis or on Largo Grimaldi. Parking spaces marked in white are free of charge. Parking spaces marked in blue are subject to a charge.
Also, a private underground car park is located at Via Carmine, about 500 m from our Accommodation. Please contact us for availability, prices and bookings.
